General Meetings - The monthly Board and General Meetings are held on the 3rd Wednesday of every month. They start at 7:00 PM and are held at the club house at the range. These meetings are usually brief and give the membership a chance to ask questions, express an opinion, or get to know the club better. Why not stop by?
Help Wanted! - If you look at our calendar throughout the year, you can see that we have many activities. It takes a lot of planning and effort by dedicated people to make all these activities happen. Also, considerable effort is put in by the officers and the directors to run the club, to take care of the day to day decisions, and to make it an attractive place for the members. As you may have noticed, the membership is slowly rising. We must be doing something right. . .
If you have some spare time and are interested in helping out the club, stop buy at the General Meetings and get to know us and well talk about what you may be interested in doing for the club. Thanks.
Give a Membership - No matter what time of year - its a good time to join BCSA. A gift membership to the club makes a nice birthday or Christmas present for the shooter in your family. Or hand one out to someone you know who may be looking for a safe place to shoot, or is interested in organized, competitive events. We are always looking for new members. A BCSA membership application is available on this web site.
Wild Game Dinner - Each year, usually in February or March, BCSA sponsors a "Wild Game Dinner". This dinner is open to the public. The dinner meat must be wild (not wild tasting) and donated by club members and friends. Special emphasis is put on the less common game, such as elk, moose, caribou, etc. This dinner is always sold out, and everyone has a good time, and lots to eat.
Mossberg .22 Rifles Available - If you weren't aware if it, the Civilian Marksmanship Program (CMP, was DCM) is offering to sell surplus government .22 caliber Mossberg Model 44US rifles to qualifying applicants. One qualification is to belong to a club which fosters marksmanship skills - as BCSA certainly does. The rifles have peep sights, wooden stocks, but no magazines. Price is $75.00, plus $19.95 shipping. Limit: 3 rifles per person, per year. See link to CMP for details.
Official BCSA Member Rules - This is it - the official rules of the Club. Please, read them and understand them.
Official BCSA Bylaws - Interesting reading, actually, tracing the origins of BCSA back to 1919.
There are other activities during the year, including the Empire State Games tryouts. The club publishes a quarterly newsletter.
